Workshop de 20 horas. Se trato de diseñar una lámpara a partir de un porta bombillo. Herramientas: Rhino, RhinoNEST, RhinoCAM.
SUBJECT WORKSHOP – How to develop digital projects and fabricate them using digital fabrication. Challenges for a XXI century designer.

HORARIOS / TIME SCHEDULE: 16th -20th FEBRUARY – 5 Days X 3 hours
OBJETIVO GENERAL / GENERAL OBJECTIVE
The mainly idea of this course is introduce the students to the practical of new methods of design and fabrication, using digital tools. We believed that this experience will change, radically, in terms of how can we design, and produce, in the digital age. The strategies to design will be based in the Rhino’s plug-in Grasshopper (parametrics), and the fabrication will be done at the installations of MedioDesign*, using Laser Cutter and a Computer Numeric Control machine.
During these intensive 20 hours workshop the students are going to learn how to use digital technologies, following a specific exercise.

The course is organized like a workshop
• Work in groups. Each group must have around 4 students.
• Understand the tolls and strategies to transform a material. Develop a RhinoCAM file / object that will be milled in a CNC machine. During the classes different strategies will be studied.
Have a physical experience with a CNC machine. In the last day, the class will be at the MedioDesign installations*. Bring your cameras!!!.
